What mode & intensity level should I choose when using my Lumi?Updated 2 years ago

Intensity Levels

Lumi has 6 intensity levels to choose from. We recommend starting at the lowest intensity level (1) and gradually increasing the intensity level with each new session.

If treatment feels uncomfortable and/or leaves marks that last longer than a couple of days, that’s a sign that the intensity level was likely too high for your skin – try decreasing the intensity next time.

Modes

Lumi has three different modes to make your IPL hair removal journey simpler. Different modes work better for treating different body parts. Here’s how they work:

Stamp Mode:

In Stamp Mode, each click of the pulse button causes one flash.

This is Lumi’s default mode. It’s ideal for precision areas, like your underarms, bikini area, and face.

Auto Mode:

In Auto Mode, your device will flash every half-second it is in contact with your skin, without needing to click the pulse button.

To activate Auto Mode, hold the device away from your skin and hold down the pulse button until all indicator lights are blinking. Then, hold your handset to your skin and lift the handset after each flash to cool the bulb. To deactivate Auto Mode, hold down the pulse button until the lights stop blinking.

Auto Mode is ideal for treating larger areas, such as legs and arms.

Glide Mode:

In Glide Mode, your device will flash periodically while in contact with your skin, without having to lift the device after each flash.

To activate Glide Mode, make sure the flash window is completely flat against your skin, hold the pulse button down, and glide it across the area you wish to treat.

Glide Mode is ideal for treating legs.
